Helping Fight Childhood Cancer & Childhood Illnesses

The Sam’s Hope Foundation of Montana provides financial assistance to families who have a child with cancer or illness by helping the family with any cancer and illness related expenses they may be facing during their fight to win.

Charity Awards Given

The Sam’s Hope Foundation was established in 2012 in memory of Rolland “Sam” Kolve. To keep Sam’s memory alive, his parents, who now live in Lincoln, MT, organized the Sam’s Hope Foundation of Montana and began raising money to help families who have children fighting cancer in the hopes that someday there will be no more children who have to face cancer and that a cure can be found.

Since the inception in 2012, Sam’s parents have raised money through donations, raffles, cars shows, and several other events here in Montana. They have gifted over $50K to help families that are currently battling childhood cancer and other childhood illness with any expenses that may incur. They have also gifted $38K to help elderly and those in need residing in the Lincoln, MT community. They also give a yearly scholarship to graduating members of the senior class where Sam attended high school in Great Falls MT and Lincoln MT. And, they have also recently established an annual award given to 6th, 7th & 8th graders who have improved scholastically and helped with local community events.

Sam’s Hope Foundation of Montana will be hosting their 1st Annual Sam’s Blackfoot Valley Chainsaw Competition Fundraiser in hopes of making an even bigger difference in providing financial assistance to families who have a child with cancer or illness by helping the family with any cancer and illness related expenses they may be facing during their fight to win. In hopes of making an even bigger difference in providing financial assistance, this charity fundraiser event will be held at their hometown family restaurant, Lambkin’s, on July 13th-16th .

Welcome to Sam’s Hope Foundation of Montana

Sam’s Hope Foundation of Montana originally started to help young cancer patients and their families find strength, courage and joy. Since our inception in 2012, we have helped countless kids with childhood illnesses and people in need in Greater Lincoln, Montana.

We strive to relieve the emotional, relational and practical challenges of childhood illnesses and other hardships. At our core, what we offer is community, the feeling that you are not alone during this isolating experience. We live to provide understanding, support, resources and opportunities that families will rely and reflect on for years to come.

Sam’s Hope Foundation of Montana is a 501(c)3, and our board runs several events, raffles and auctions throughout the year to raise funds to support families battling childhood illness and provide relief to others in need. Smiles and laughter are in short supply for patients and families but we can’t move fast enough to help everyone needing our assistance in Lincoln, MT and surrounding areas.
