Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Kathy is an astounding instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.HoldingHartSpace2 months agoI took Adult CPR/AED last week with Kathy and had an amazing experience. I cannot recommend Kathy enough as an instructor. She has so much experience. It can be hard to facilitate a class made up of people from different backgrounds. Kathy does this flawlessly. The way she incorporated her experiences as an EMT was so helpful and definitely made CPR more memorable than the last time I took it. Thank you so much, Kathy!

Great experience!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Caroline223 years agoHe did a great job teaching and did a thorough description of the steps. He didn’t rush through the practice and made sure everyone knew what they were doing before moving on. Although, maybe consider using less videos and more hands-on work.

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa3 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

Just what I needed
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.QIZU3 years agoI'm required to stay up-to-date on certification in AED/CPR/FA for my job, and since my job wasn't allowed to do our normal in-person trainings this year due to COVID, we were all on our own. The online class followed by the 1-year provisional in-person class ended up being perfect for me. Everything I needed to review was covered, and in a way I could easily understand. The instructor for the in-person class was a little cranky at first, but it was early in the morning, so no judgement. He ... ended up covering everything we needed to know very professionally once we actually got started.

Great foundation to understand the techniques
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.ACSK856 years agoI found the pre-work online portion to be very useful. It was detailed, interactive and really taught the techniques well. Once we got in person, it made the hands on portion much easier and solidified the knowledge well. My only negative about the course was that, while the instructor was good, he had an incredibly strong accent that made it difficult to understand a lot of what was being talked about. If I hadn't done the pre-work, I would not have understood much.

Great Class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Bjmyangel6 years agoClassroom portion was a combined class for Adult CPR/AED, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED, as well as Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid. Each participant was released at the end of their specific class if they did not take the full Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid class. The instructor was very good, gave clear instruction, and had a great personality. That sure makes classroom time go quickly! The online portion was quick and well done.

Great information to know
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.aRealMrC1 month agoAlmost everyone in my class actually worked in the Red Cross building, and just needed to “sit through the class” to renew their certification. One of those same ladies sat in the back talking/joking the ENTIRE time during all of the educational videos so much so I couldn’t even focus on listening to the videos. I wish the instructor would have told her to be quiet or leave. The class itself was nice and I did learn from it, I wish it was less of just playing videos and reading off a ... PowerPoint. The instructor was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had

Very informative and educational course
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Indu_a6 days agoI attended this course a few weeks ago and found it very informative. The course and training was clear, detail oriented, interactive and with lots of hands-on training sessions. Skills on CPR admission and use of AED were taught and built on through repetitive practice.

Received immediate CPR certificate after class!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Kcatt3 weeks agoI took the Adult CPR/AED in person class and we did hands on learning of CPR, AED, and choking rescue. Teacher was very nice, patient, and friendly. I like how she spoke loud and clear. My class was about 2 hours long. I received an electronic certificate via email immediately after the class. I really appreciate the immediate certification after class because it helped me finish applying that evening for a job that required CPR certification. Thank you for the great customer service.
