Gloria Zuidema Obituary

In joyous celebration and a tad sadness, we announce that our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and lover of Jesus, Gloria,  has left this earth and is now standing with her Creator.  She took her last earthly breath on February 20th where she passed away after being in home hospice care.

She reunites with her husband Ed who preceded her in death 25 years ago.  She will also be meeting up with four children who she miscarried, her parents, a brother, and various other family members and friends who beat her there.

Left to miss her are her six children and one daughter-in-love:  Barbara Gage of Columbia Falls MT, Ed Zuidema of Great Falls, Debbie Adams of Great Falls, Dan and Michelle Zuidema of Great Falls, Tim Zuidema of Great Falls, and Scott Zuidema of Grand Island NE.

She has 12 grandchildren (four have spouses):  Rachel, Christopher (Jessica), Jenna (Dan), Ryan, Stephanie (Mike), Jesse (Taylor), Jake, and Tyler and 14 great-grandchildren.  Also left to miss her are her siblings Nancy (Bill), Lynn, Bonnie (Rich) and Bob (Denise). Family was important to her and she loved each and every one of these beyond measure.

She worked in daycare both from home , the children's receiving home and helped start the daycare at Treasure State Academy.  She had a huge love for kids and would tell you that God blessed her to be an honorary grandma to each one.

Mom was involved in church her entire life.  Sunday School, Womens' groups, cleaning, and outright loving on people.  Her favorite place to be was with her siblings out gallivanting around the country or joining the group of ladies at whatever event was going on at church.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for many years.

Cremation has already taken place at Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory.  A memorial service will be held on March 6 at 11 am at Fairview Baptist Church, Pastor Steve Mix officiating.  This will be followed by a celebratory luncheon.  A family only burial service will be held when the ground thaws.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking people to donate to the Fairview Baptist Church where the funds will be used for Outreach programs.  At heart she was an evangelist...always willing to share the Good News and love of Jesus.

She loved well and was loved well and that's speaks volumes about her belief in what Jesus commanded us to do...Love God and love others!
