Jack Sand passed away peacefully on April 6, 2022. Jack was a kind and gentle man with a sense a humor.
Jack was born in Great Falls, Montana on April 9, 1935, and he went to school in Polson, MT. His dad got him started in sheet metal work and he designed the sign for Burger Master here in Great Falls with the neon lights up on 10th. He was a sheet metal foreman for years, he was well liked by his apprentices, as he was patient with them. Most of Jack’s career was in the Seattle, WA area, working for Allied Sheet Metal. He belonged to the Sheet Metal Union and worked on several buildings in downtown Seattle, such as the building of clean rooms underground for the hospital and even did the duct work on Bill Gate’s mansion.
Jack moved back to Great Falls with his wife, Lorene, when they retired, only to continue working, remodeling, or building their homes, moving from one to the next.
Jack was preceded in death by both his parents Robert “Bob” Sand and Elizabeth “Sandy” Hall; daughter Shari Wilson and just last year his brother, Gordan Sand.
Jack is survived by his wife, Lorene Sand; sons Steve Cosby and Doug Brodigan; daughter Tami Shabazian; grandchildren T.J Wilson, Xena Wilson, Chad Cosby and Kristina Seals; His wife’s granddaughters Rachel and Laura Fugate, who were loved by him and called him “Grandpa”; His sister Lori (Wally) Purviance and extended family including Jim and Ken Napier.
