Dorothy's Obituary
On November 2, 2023, at 4:55 pm our mother passed away. It was a very difficult day for all of us to realize both our parents are now gone. It is comforting to know, like our father she didn’t suffer. I know she is with our father and various other loved family members.
Dorothy was born in Glasgow, MT. She met and married our dad who was from Phillips County. Our parents moved to California to provide a better life for all of us. Our parent’s love was truly amazing. A love that lasted a lifetime for both of them. They retired in Great Falls, MT in 2001. Our parents are missed by all of us and so many others whose lives they touched.
Our mother loved crossword puzzles, card games, gambling, and collecting frogs. Dorothy was an avid bowler and tennis player in her younger years, I speak for my sister and my brothers when I say there is an empty space in our hearts. We are now forced to miss them both every day. We love you and miss you both.
She is survived by her five children, Pamela, Warren (Rise), Deanna, Robert (Desiree), and Roger (Louise); seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel Irene Crossing; father, Merle H. Spaulding; and brothers, John and George Spaulding. As hard as it is to lose our parents, they both led a very full life.
A celebration of life for both our parents is planned for the summer of 2024 in California.
