About

Who benefits from equine bodywork? They all do.

Equine bodywork is a diverse and growing field with many modalities available, but they all have one thing in common: improve the quality of the animal’s life. Keegan is an advanced student in the “Masterson Method,” which works with the nervous system to help them release tension they are carrying against restriction in their body or habitually as a defensive mechanism. Much like human bodywork, the goal is to get them out of their sympathetic, “fight or flight” nervous system and into their parasympathetic nervous system to allow them to release tension. Sessions are geared to “peel back the layers” over time to allow freedom of movement and functionality and improve connection and trust. Keegan works with the animal to allow them the space to “let go” and rebalance themselves. This can help with structure and postural imbalances to improve their quality of life and allow them to do their job with more comfort, quality and ease. Any animal can benefit, but it is especially useful to animals with conformation or structural compromise, behavioral problems, trust issues, etc.
