GREAT FALLS — While El Comedor restaurant in Great Falls is still going strong in its 52nd year, it will soon go through some remodeling as a new owner will be taking over.
After decades of being the owners at one of Great Falls' most popular restaurants, the Eustermans say it's time to step down.
Diane Eusterman said, "We're just at that age. We have no children, or grandchildren, or anybody to take over the business, and it's just time to go enjoy life."
But while their time at the Mexican restaurant is coming to an end, their years of dedication and fond memories will not be forgotten.
When asked what they enjoy most, Diane said, "Mostly the customers, they've been loyal customers for years and years, and it's nice seeing everybody enjoy the food."
Bill said that relationships with customers and employees is what is important to him.
"The friendships that we've developed through our customers," Bill stated. "We'd like to thank our employees also who are the real strength behind the restaurant and have all become our children in many respects. They've been good to us, and we've tried to be good to them."
The new owners will take over on May 1st, after the remodeling phase, which they hope will take about 30 days, and they will continue with the same food, staff, and their long-standing tradition.
From the Facebook page: "Come see us before April 30th. We will be doing a remodel as of May 1st. We are not changing the great food or recipes after reopening. Still going to be a local owner."
El Comedor is located at 1120 25th Street South.
