Linda Lee Busko

March 1, 1951 - May 15, 2022

Linda Lee (Block) Busko, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 15, 2022, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Linda is survived by her husband, Ken; daughter, Melissa Block; stepdaughters, Nichola, Danielle, and Samantha; and grandchildren, Camryn Rhodes, Riley Hanson, and Zoey Busko.

Linda was born to Dolores Leroy on March 1, 1951, in Great Falls, Montana. Raised by a single mother their relationship was more like sisters, rather than mother and daughter. But Linda survived adolescence and became best friends in adulthood. Eventually, Linda became her mom’s caregiver until Dolores’ passing. One of their favorite pastimes was playing Keno at the Lido. What eventually became their family tradition was the annual girl trip to Jackpot, Nevada. “What happens in Jackpot, stays in Jackpot” became their never forgotten mantra.

Being a “Westsider,” Linda attended West Jr High and graduated from CMR High School in 1969. Then she needed a career! Several odd jobs later, Linda finally found it as an Office Manager with Crawford and Co. for approximately the next 39 years, making many lifelong friends along the way.

Linda married Bruce Block in 1977 later divorcing, and welcoming their only child, Melissa, in 1978. Linda was a phenomenal mother, she was so caring and silly at the same time, that she quickly became “Mom of the Block” for all Melissa’s friends. Although Melissa tested Linda’s patience to the limit and sometimes beyond, Linda was forever her biggest cheerleader and would drop everything whenever Melissa needed her.

Linda welcomed her first grandchild, Camryn, in 1999, and number two, Riley, followed in 2008. Yes, there is a third grandchild, Zoey, making her entrance to this world in 2014. Linda loved being a Gramma and passed down her fun and free-loving Spirit. She loved watching Camryn dance and Riley play endless hours of Basketball. Probably best of all, Linda taught the kids important life lessons, yes, “Ice Cream does belong in its own food group!”

Linda and Ken met on a blind date, a fundraiser, orchestrated by her cousin. The setup was perfect minus one small detail – Linda didn’t know it was a date and spent the evening wondering why this guy kept following her everywhere she went. The two finally uncrossed the wires and were on their way to becoming each other’s biggest fans. Ken and Linda finally tied the knot in 2004 and were inseparable after that. They lived for love, laughs, adventure, and especially each other. Best Friends, Soulmates, and living proof that “True Love” is not just a fairy tale!

Not wanting the grass to grow under their feet, camping, lake life, theme parks, regional cuisine, and Vegas vacations, all became the norm for the pair. Linda, wanting to “kick it up a notch,” secured Calgary Flames tickets and the hockey fanatics soon were making annual pilgrimages following the Flames games. They decided to raise the bar once again discovering life on the High Seas. Linda fell in love with the “life of a Pirate,” sailing the World discovering beaches, volcanos, ancient ruins, helmet dives, and her absolute favorite – zip lines! Bucket list items for sure and Linda lived to fill many of them. Linda was a blessing and made a huge impact on everyone who knew her. She was a great person and had the innate ability to make everyone around her better. One in a million for sure and will be missed, but never ever forgotten.
